The crazy studio
Back at my drawing desk, pencils in hand at last
It brings me such happiness to be back sitting at my desk, pencils in hand and surrounded by the familiar quiet of the studio once again- well, when the boys are not barking !!. I am especially excited to be restarting my workshops and opening my Commission book.
2025/26 has been hard, with my breast cancer diagnosis knocking me off my feet physically and mentally, and now I have lots of meds to take. But I am happy to feel ready to start doing what I love again.

Recent Achievements
Far Ings National Nature Reserve
I recently had the great honour of visiting Far Ings National Nature Reserve near the Humber Bridge, and it was my first visit to the visitor centre.
Oh my God, what a welcome I got! The staff were so friendly and welcoming, and I knew immediately that this was a place with exactly the kind of vibe I love.
What’s not to love? Lovely people, brilliant views and a fantastic sanctuary for wildlife.
I’d gone across to give them a picture of a Bittern. Far Ings has got a bit of a name for itself for its Bitterns, as well as lots of other wonderful birds, so when I was choosing a subject for the picture I was doing for them, it seemed like the ideal choice.
I’m now working on a collection of Far Ings prints to go in their shop, and I’m so excited about it! These will all be of animals and birds that you can spot around Far Ings, so I’m really looking forward to getting stuck into these.
I’m also very excited to be working with them on some other projects, and I can’t wait to see where this takes us. There are some lovely things in the pipeline!
I’ll keep you all informed as things develop, but for now, a huge thank you to the lovely staff who made me feel so welcome.
I absolutely loved my visit and I’m really looking forward to working with you all.

Life with Chester & Eddie
My two Hungarian Vizslas, Chester and Eddie, remain my studio companions. Throughout my recovery, they have been constantly by my side on the settee as well zzzzzzz.
They are also very useful for help with fur direction and cuddles
